In order to lose weight, carb intake should be reduced. What you should eat or not eat while on a diet plan, depends on how fit you are, how much weight you need to loose and how many times you exercise.

·         Fruits and vegetables

·         Non-gluten grains and seeds

You should not consume the following while on a diet plan.

·         Sugar - the likes of chocolate, sweets, manufactured fruit juices and also soft drinks should be avoided.

·         Gluten grains – Rye, barley, bread and pasta should not be consumed.

·         Factory made food should not be consumed since they contain a lot of chemicals and a lot of calories.


Having a Balanced Diet.

In order to have a healthy diet, it is important to take the right portions from all the food groups. A diet ensures that you attain and retain a healthy lifestyle. A balanced diet entails five portions and more of vegetables and fruits per day.Atleast eight glasses of water every day is recommended to meet a balanced diet.

Maintaining a healthy diet is important in keeping you free from avoidable diseases. If you take a lot of fatty foods and manufactured foods, you end up having chronic diseases like heart attacks. It is advised that whenever you are cooking, you should roast food in the oven rather than deep frying it.This reduces the intake of unhealthy fats.

·         Controlled weight.

A diet can help you maintain your weight or achieve your preferred weight. Eating the right kinds of food and controlling your portion can be of help to your weight loss aim.

·         There is constant growth and development.

A child who is put on a regular diet can grow very fast and be energetic enough to play around. Ensuring that the child takes all the food groups at regulated manner, will help the child’s overall development.

Finally, a diet is very important in having a healthier body. A diet helps to avoid all those lifestyle diseases which are caused by what you eat .Dieting can be more effective if you plan your meals a day before or plan your meals for a whole week. That way you will be able to follow your diet plan. Ensure that you eat smaller portions.
